This means that you will not be able to obtain a copy of your GED transcript at Snead State. The state of Alabama GED Credentialing has partnered with a paperless web-based “Parchment Services” for GED transcripts. When a GED candidate passes the 2014 GED, he will receive an electronic transcript which can be forwarded to schools or even downloaded (securely, which shows that the transcript hasn’t been tampered with) onto a thumb drive and taken to schools and/or employers to be downloaded on site. The process is the same for historical transcripts prior to the 2014 computer version. Most transcripts will have a “same day delivery” service. These classes are provided to help anyone 17 years or older and officially withdrawn from school for the purpose of improving skills in English, math, reading, GED preparation, and academic brush-up.
